Spanish American War 1898 – New York Veterans

The Spanish-American War was a brief affair fought in Cuba, Puerto Rico, Guam and The Philippines. Many Irish-American and Irish born men fought with the US forces. From the state of New York there is one Buggy listed on page 578 of this two volume set of veteran indexes[1]:

BUGGY, JOHN – Age 24 years. Enlisted 12 May 1898 at Camp Black to serve two years; mustered in as private, Company F, 16 May 1898; mustered out with company, 27 October 1898 at Brooklyn, N.Y.
