Ballinakill, Laois 1895.                                                                                                               Death. BUGGY – May 8, 1895, at Ballinakill, Queens Co, to the inexpressible sorrow of his mother, sister, brother, and a large circle of friends, James Buggy aged 23(? text is worn) years. Office and high mass took place of St, Brigid’s Catholic Church on Wednesday at 11 o’clock. Interment in family burial place, at Clogh, immediately after. American papers please copy.[1]

Mountjoy Ward, Dublin 1888                                                                                                           A letter to Timothy O’Dwyer Esq, 1 Margaret-place.

Dear Sir- We the undersigned, Burgess and ratepayers of the Mountjoy Ward, respectfully request you to permit yourself to be put forward as a candidate for the vacancy created in the Municipal Council by the election of councilor P McDonald, M.P., to the aldermanship.

Signed by numerous people including James Buggy, 11 Kane’s Court.[2]

Tullow, Carlow 1871                                                                                                                            A list of results for summer examinations at St. Patrick’s Collegiate Seminary. In the subject of arithmetic the name K. Buggy appears in the third division.[3]

Castlecomer / Dublin 1863                                                                                                          Court of Bankruptcy and Insolvency of Bankruptcy – In the matter of Patrick Buggy and Michael Buggy, of Castlecomer, in the county of Kilkenny, drapers, and late co-partners in trade, bankrupts.[4]

The article mentions further particulars about the court proceedings that will occur due to the bankruptcy.

Kilkenny 1840                                                                                                                                     A Richard Buggy is listed among the Operative Carpenters of Kilkenny who subscribed by the Loyal National Repeal Association.[5]
